Caledon Award
The Caledon Award recognizes individuals who work in Canada and have made significant contributions to the field of trace organic analysis. The award consists of a framed certificate along with a monetary honorarium.
Although the award is sponsored by Caledon, the selection of winners is in the hands of the organizers of two separate scientific meetings that are held in the spring. In even numbered years it is administered by the EnviroAnalysis Conference, and presented at that meeting. In odd-numbered years it is administered by the Western Canada Trace Organic Workshop and presented at that meeting.
There is a single nomination process, and the criteria for selection is the same each year. Only the administration and presentation alternates between the two conferences.
The 2008 Caledon Award was presented to Dr. Eric Reiner at EnviroAnalysis 2008 in Toronto.
