Caledon Award
The Caledon Award recognizes individuals in Canada who have made significant contributions to the field of trace organic analysis.
The award is sponsored by Caledon, but the selection of winners is determined by the organizers of two separate Canadian scientific symposia, the EnviroAnalysis Conference, and the Western Canada Trace Organic Workshop. The award consists of a framed certificate along with a monetary honorarium.
There is a single nomination process, and the criteria for selection is the same each year. Only the administration and presentation alternates between the two conferences.
The 2010 Caledon Award was presented to Dr. Mehran Alaee at the Eighth Biennial International Conference on Monitoring and Measurement of the Environment - EnviroAnalysis 2010-held in Toronto, Ontario on May 10.
