Quality
At Caledon, Quality has not been relegated to one department. Rather, we have embraced the concept of continuous improvement in our Management Philosophy, and we focus on Total Quality at every step of the operation. This is a system involving:
- Appointment of qualified staff and the delivery of appropriate training
- Personalized customer service to ensure a clear understanding of customers’ needs
- Production and certification of products based on documented specifications that are linked to customer needs, and described in a detailed Certificate of Analysis
- A comprehensive identification and traceability system
- A Corrective and Preventive Action Report system (CPAR) in which actual and potential deficiencies in all aspects of our business and technical processes are subjected to root cause analysis – and corrective action.
The Quality System addresses Caledon's internal documentation system as well as the physical products and the associated service that is provided to customers.
Key personnel play a major role in the preparation and implementation of procedures, and the Quality Manager oversees the entire system.
Employees at every level of the organization are involved. The following are the first words in every Caledon employee's job description:
"With respect to products, processes, and the Quality System, every Caledon employee has a responsibility to prevent non-conformities, identify and record problems, implement solutions, and control further operations until any unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected."
